Traduire avec Google TranslateI chose a private insurance solution and made some of the equipment optional. The insurance offers still a very good level of security for the renter. I will tell more about it in the end of this explanation, for the case you need it, which of course we hope you will not. The optional equipment comes as follows: - Bottom sheet is included. Set of 2 pillows, 2 blankets, 2 sheets, 2 towels for 50€. After the first week, 30€/week. - bike rack 20€/week - if you need bikes, I can add one or two for 10€/bike/day. Nothing fancy, but get you from A to B and are great for discovering the surroundings. (The bike rack is included with this solution) - One or two SUP-boards 7€/day&board - high chair (Ikea Antilop) for 10€/week - maxi cosi ( up to 13kg) for 20€ These extras I will charge in cash or mobile pay at pickup, as for now, there is no option in mycamper for that. Please be prepared. :) Now to the basic information: - about traveling with three people, for example taking a baby/toddler/kid with you. There are three seats in the car. All have three point belts. No Isofix. - the bed is 160x200cm. - cooking with two very handy gas stoves. 2 bottles of gas/cooker/week are included. If you need more, you find the bottles for around 2€ in a lot of stores, Biltema, Motonet, etc. - Good set of kettles, pans, plates etc. - "Hobo stove" for grilling and cooking, in which you can burn small wood, charcoal, cones or such. - electricity for the fridge and loading electronically devices while camping comes from a small power station. The power station has 12V car socket outlet, USB A and -C. It has a capacity for the fridge for around one day at 6 degrees, maybe the second is at 10 degrees etc. You can load the power station via normal wall outlet, while driving through the 12V car socket, or with the foldable solar panel. It should be possible to live off-grid just fine if you take care of catching sunlight with the panel, and, of course, always charge while driving.. - you can communicate with the fridge through Frezzers own bluetooth app. Can come in handy while driving and wondering how your food is doing behind the wall. :D - two hammocks - The shower is a camping shower that you put in a bucket. If you want a warm shower, you need to warm up the water with a kettle or in the sun. There are two black buckets, water in them will warm up in the sun, maybe in an hour? - Chemical camping toilet. Mostly we have been able to use public toilets, often there are also some next to popular camper van spots, beaches etc. The chemical toilet we have used only for "number one" without chemicals or such. You can use the chemical stuff if you want to. Now to the cases of unwanted things happening: damage, breakdown, accident. At first, I state that I will be in reach via Whatsapp, or phone. I can't always answer, but I will be there to help you with my best knowledge asap. So please contact me with low treshold, a lot of problems might be easy to solve. For some you need professional help, though. The insurance company is OP-Pohjola, that is good to know in case you need it. It is enough to tell the name of the insurance company to the towing company, and the invoice goes to them. You can use whatever towing company is at hand, but for example redgo.fi works nicely. Or you call autohätäkeskus, "car emergency central" 010 253 0012. They will help you with arranging help or the towing, and they are open 24/7/365. In the case of an accident or a damage on the car which is not due to normal wear. In these cases the deposit is the maximum what you stand for. For a car breakdown: the insurance covers the cost for towing the car to a garage. Basically the nearest, but with a bit of negotiation space, for example in case a garage has a free time slot, but the nearest not, then it is probably ok to tow the car a bit further. So it might be good to reach out to garages nearby to find out about their capacity before the towing. Finding a good garage with time to look at the problem is essential... so if the weekend is approaching, it's good to do the contacting quick. On the other hand, if you are already at a nice spot camping and the car just doesn't start, and evening is coming, the best solution might be to stay where you are and wait until the nest morning with the towing and/or contacting the repair shops. The repair costs will be covered by the owner, means me. What will be repaired and how, needs to be discussed with me, normally, in the end, agreed between me and the garage. In addition, for the continuation of your journey, you will have several options: - you wait for the reparation of the van. I will return you the money for the rent for the days the van could not be used. In addition you the insurance covers the rent for a small normal car for a up to a week. - If you prefer to end your journey, you can return to Helsinki with a economy or second class ticket or public transport. - if you are not too far away from Helsinki, and I have another van free, it might be possible to change the rest of your rental period to another van. There might be several options, from very van-like "mattress on the floor" type solutions to more sofisticated ones. Mostly, with open-minded brainstorming, it is possible to find a good solution in these unwanted and stressful situations, and several options to consider. I will try to help you if something happens, aiming for the best solution, in every situation.
